It was the dawning of the "Age of Aquarius"!

At least, that was the promise proclaimed in the words of a song topping the charts 50 years ago.

The song, "Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine In," had been number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for eight consecutive weeks, finally dropping from the top spot on June 3rd, 1969. The lyrics of the song by the popular singing group, the Fifth Dimension, declared the Age of Aquarius would begin, "When the moon is in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars, then peace will rule the planets, and love will steer the stars."
