Pickens County Veterans Memorial Park

Pickens County citizens and veterans are invited to the second annual Christmas wreath placement at the Pickens County Veterans Memorial Park (PCVMP). By placing this Christmas wreath, we are honoring our veteran’s past and current.

We understand we have Veterans Day in the fall and Memorial Day in the spring, but our service members sacrifice their time and safety every single day of the year to preserve our freedoms.

In many homes, there is an empty seat for one who is serving or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There is no better time to express our appreciation than during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

We hope you will join us on Wednesday, December 12 at noon at the Veterans Memorial Park across from Newton Park to show our veterans and their families that we will not forget.

In addition, during this holiday season, we encourage placing appropriate holiday decorations. Please be respectful of the memorial.   PCVMP will remove any inappropriate decorations at the memorial. All decorations will be removed by January 4, 2019.

The bricks of honor 692 are now located at the memorial. Bricks of Honor are still available which is a tangible way of honoring your loved ones who served.  For a $125 donation, your loved one will be honored. PCVMP is a non-profit, tax exempt, 501 © (3) organization and donations are tax deductible.
