Laughs all around - The Tater Patch comedy, The Second Time Around, is sure to make you smile a little and laugh a lot.
The delightful comedy, The Second Time Around, by Henry Denker, opens this Friday for nine shows. The performances are September 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23 at the theater at 95 Philadelphia Lane. The eight cast members have been working hard to prepare and are ready to make you smile a little and laugh a lot. There is a dress rehearsal on Thursday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m.
As always, in an effort to share with members of our community who may not be able to afford a ticket, we open our doors. All Tater Patch asks is that those attending this dress rehearsal bring a bag or two of non-perishable food or toiletry items to share with the CARES Food Pantry. That way we share the laughter and the attendees share some love. Tickets are on sale now through the website at www.taterpatchplayers.org or the troupe's Facebook page. There is even a special "First Timer" ticket price, if you've never been to a Tater Patch Players' s show. There's no time like the present.
And speaking of present, let's talk about Christmas. The players have set up a special Flex Pass Season Ticket price, good until January 1 for its 2019 season. Go online and check it out, because the gift of entertainment is always welcome! And while you're thinking of Christmas, think of our final play this year, A Christmas Story. Auditions for the roles of Mother, The Old Man, Ralph the Narrator and Miss Shields, as well as for the busy roles of the six stage hands, who are on stage most of the show, will be Sunday, September 9 and Monday September 10 from 6 till 8 p.m. Been wanting to get on stage but not sure about learning lines? The Christmas Story stage hands are looking for you!
