After hearing “grave concerns” from residents of Sharptop Ridge Road regarding a proposed residential development for a 111-acre lot in the Burnt Mountain Road area, the Jasper City Council voted to table the decision on annexation/rezoning.
The parcel is currently located in unincorporated Pickens County and is zoned agricultural. Owner and developer Paul King has requested the parcel be annexed into the city limits and zoned as R-1, or low density single family residential.
