Miss. Connie Wilson, 51, of Jasper passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.
Connie is survived by her mother, Ella Mae Reece of Jasper; brother and sister-in-law, Tony & Adrian Wilson of Tate; several nieces and nephews. Special friends: Debbie Rooker, Hilda Parker and the staff at the Burnt Mountain Center.
Connie is preceded in death by her sister, Diane Davis; father, Loye Wilson and stepfather, Norman Reece.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2018 in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wallace Parks and Rev. Larry Eubanks officiating.
Pallbearers: Ron Ewald, Paul Looper, Tony Greiner, Jacob Runyan, Jimmy Parker and Horace Flowers.
Interment was held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens immediately following the funeral services.
The family accepted flowers or donations to The Burnt Mountain Center in memory of Connie Wilson.

Dorothy A. Gold, 78, of Jasper, Ga. went to heaven on April 9th.
She was born and raised in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Bryan and Virginia Miller. Charleston was always in her heart. Dorothy never met a stranger and was known for her witty and humorous conversation. She was also a very talented artist. She will be greatly missed and be forever in our hearts.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Julie Gold; grandchildren, Jay, Ty and Averee; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Georgie Miller of Miami, Florida; nieces, Jennifer Miller of Colorado, Melissa Miller of Miami, Florida, Liz Miller Hayes of Jacksonville, Florida; nephews, Mike Miller of Miami, Florida, Bryan Miller II and his wife, Ronni Miller of Hillsborough, NC.
Services will be held at the Woodstock Church Jasper campus at 2 p.m. on April 14th.
Mrs. Naomi Lee (Edge) Poore Lovell, 78, of Jasper passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Lovell is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Wade & Debra Poore of Senoia and David & Rhonda Poore of Taylorsville; sons, Arthur Lee Poore of Mount Airy and Paul Poore of Jasper; sister, Marjorie Ann Shahan of Clayton, DE; eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Naomi is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Gilbert Edge of Little Rock, AK & Doris Marjorie Anderson Edge of Wilmington, DE; brothers, Thomas Edward Edge of New Castle, DE and Gilbert Henry Edge of Atlanta.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2018 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Chaplin Andy McGill of Amity Hospice officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff at Amity Hospice Care and family caregiver Donna DeBeradinis.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to The Pickens County Senior Center in memory of Mrs. Naomi Lovell.

Melanie Boggus Griggs passed away on April 1, 2018. Mrs. Griggs resided in Rome, Ga. and was the daughter of the late Don and Judy Boggus of Jasper.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Doyle Griggs.
She is survived by three sisters, Trina Boggus Boteler, Dee Anne Boggus, Tamara Boggus and a brother, Don Boggus, Jr.; mother-in-law, Thelma Louise Griggs; and four nieces.
A memorial service was held at Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Rome, Ga. on Saturday, April 7.
Walter Andrew "Andy" Thompson, 67, of Tate, Georgia, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at North East Georgia Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Thompson; sister, Beverly Mize; brother, John Wylie Thompson II; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Tollyan and Danny Peterman; nieces and nephews, Natalie & Charles P. Mattson, Cynthia Peterman Greer, Shelly & Cassie Mize, Richard and Trisha Mize, John Wylie & Shannon Thompson III; great-nieces and nephews, John Mattson, James Mattson, Oliva Greer, Emily Mize, Holly Mize, Abby Mize, Addie Thompson and John David Thompson.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Greg Anderson and Kevin Roper officiating. Interment followed in Lake Forest Memorial Park.

Patty Michelle Royer, age 51, of Ball Ground, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Timothy Neil Royer; daughter, Tosha N. Royer; son, Christopher R. Royer; brother, Dallas Jamie Colley; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. She will remain in the care of Roper Funeral Home to be cremated.

Kirsten is survived by her husband, Dylan Robertson of Ball Ground; daughter, Kadie Robertson of Ball Ground; father and stepmother, Jamie & Kelly Ray of Ball Ground; mother and stepfather, Melissa and Kenny Weaver of Talking Rock; brothers, Cody Ray of Ball Ground and Cole Ray of Talking Rock; step brothers, Hunter Weaver of Talking Rock, Christopher Patterson of Jasper and Jacob Weaver of Jasper; stepsisters, Hannah Weaver of Cleveland, GA, Shelby Downs of Ball Ground and Jillian Tucker of Rydal; grandparents, Jimmy & Norma Ray of Tate and Addline Hart of Jasper; great-grandparents, Emory Ray of Tate and Clair Cochran of Dawsonville; several aunts, uncles, cousins as well as nieces and nephews.

Mr. Billy Truett Pierce, 80, of Ball Ground passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Windsor House Assisted Living with his family at his bedside.
Mr. Pierce is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie Pierce; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary & Christen Pierce of Canton, Billy & Rhonda Pierce of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Judy & Charlie Kimble of Florida; brothers, Gene Pierce of Adel and Jack Pierce of Macon; sister, Martha Baldwin of Acworth; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Icie Pierce and sister, Shirley Pierce.
Billy was born in Cleveland, TN and had a lifelong career in commercial construction, retiring in 2001. He then enjoyed antiquing, woodworking and road trips.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, April 12 at Cagle Funeral Home.

David Anthony Hollifield, age 74, of Jasper passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at his home.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Tammy Hollifield of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Tracy Payne of Talking Rock; sister, Barbara Duncan of Jasper; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his son, Shane Hollifield.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2018 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Huey Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery on Burnt Mountain Road in Jasper.
